For Research Fellows

Research Fellows are visitors at SAMSI for periods of up to one year, and are associated with the individual SAMSI research programs. Support always includes office space and facilities, and can include various types of financial support. To explore possibilities as a Research Fellow, use the contact addresses for the individual programs, or contact Richard Smith ([email protected]) indicating the SAMSI research program in which you are interested and describing your interest in the area.

New Researcher Fellowship Opportunities for 2016-17

SAMSI is soliciting applications from statistical and mathematical scientists for four New Researcher Fellowships, to begin September 2016 or January 2017. New Researchers should have recently received their Ph.D.  Members of under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

SAMSI New Researcher Fellows will participate in one or more of the year's research programs:
Optimization
Statistical, Mathematical and Computational Methods for Astronomy

Appointments will ideally be for one year, although appointments for one semester can be considered. A limited amount of financial support may be available, depending on budget.

Interested individuals should contact [email protected] for more information. Formal applications will require a CV and letter (or e-mail) indicating the SAMSI research program in which participation is desired and describing the applicants interest in the area; be sure to include address (including e-mail) and telephone numbers.

Appointments may be made at any time.
