2018-19: E&O: Undergraduate Workshop – October 22-23, 2018

Description

As part of its Education and Outreach Program for 2018-2019, the Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (SAMSI) hosted a two-day undergraduate workshop on topics of current interest in statistics and applied mathematics. In addition to an overview of current and planned SAMSI Research Programs, the program topic on Statistical, Mathematical, and Computational Methods for Precision Medicine (PMED) was covered in some depth.

While students from universities not in the U.S. are welcome to apply, please be aware that priority is given to students who are enrolled at U.S. institutions.

If your application is accepted for the workshop, and you are traveling from outside the triangle region, SAMSI will reimburse predetermined travel expenses and provide shared lodging.  Meals/breaks are provided for all participants during the days of the workshop.
