Jaffer Zaidi

Jaffer Zaidi is in the SAMSI Causal Inference Program. I received my Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Harvard University in 2019, under the supervision of Professor Tyler J. VanderWeele. My dissertation research was in causal inference, and I established empirical conditions to detect individual level causal interactive effects, direct effects, and always survivor causal effects under randomization at baseline. I am also beginning to investigate causal effects under contagion and interference. Application areas of my research include but are not limited to drug resistance, perinatal epidemiology, and clinical trials. I like walking, cooking, hiking, table tennis and visiting the beach. I speak Russian, Hindi-Urdu, and English.
